Eat Well Be Active Community Partnerships Program Round Two

APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING ARE NOW CLOSED

The Eat Well Be Active Community Partnerships Program (CPP), a Queensland Obesity Summit initiative, provides funding to support the development and delivery of healthy lifestyle programs at the local level.

It is one of the many practical initiatives being implemented to combat obesity and reduce the risk of chronic health problems such as heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers.

About the program

This is a cross-Government funding program and aims to :

  • provide sustainable opportunities for Queenslanders to lead active lifestyles and adopt healthy eating patterns;
  • encourage new approaches in communities to the development and delivery of physical activity and healthy eating initiatives;
  • enhance and build on successful physical activity and healthy eating initiatives; and
  • encourage collaboration between State and local government, schools and community organisations.

Key dates

  • 14 July 2008 - Program opened
  • 30 October 2008 - Applications closed
  • Projects must be completed by 30 April 2010

This will provide you with the necessary information to ensure that your organisation and the proposed project are eligible to submit an application for funding under this program.
